Major Obstacles for Conversion From Flash to HTML5 Elearning

 

People who have been in the eLearning industry for around one to two decades would reminisce the pivotal role Adobe Flash played in developing eLearning content – spanning a variety of creative courses, animations, interactions, video slides, and games.

Though the year 2020 officially marks the end of Adobe Flash Player, eLearning organizations and individual enthusiasts have already moved from Flash to other sources, in the context of the growing trend for rapid eLearning content and for the current need to play it in multiple devices.

New eLearning content is, however, well developed afresh, using various rapid eLearning authoring tools. But, the need to convert Flash content into HTML5 comes into the picture, in the context of ‘legacy content conversion’. HTML5 is identified as having flexibility for content design and feasibility for course deployment.
